Tommy Ihnken, pop to powder in New Jersey, US
Snow storms in New Jersey mean cold, but they can also mean waves. Tommy Ihnken (pictured here), Sam Hammer and Pat Schimdt recently zipped up thick rubber and strolled down a beach covered by a foot of snow, with two-degree air floating around, and dove into four degree water (which is warm by current standards, thanks to a rare showing from the sun). This is Tommy’s local beach, and even though he’s wearing more neoprene than should ever be required, he can still kick a mean tail.
