Taj Burrow escapes the heat, Western Australia
Taj Burrow, as you’re no doubt already happily aware, is back in the water and killing it after 10 weeks landlocked due to a Stab-induced shoulder injury (the bubble bath we towed TB into at The Right wasn’t exactly rejuvenating). So, how good do you suppose a day like this felt for Taj? “A midday session at 35 degrees… where else would you rather be than in the ocean?” says the photographer, Calum Macaulay. It is a very good question. “This day was extremely slow, but if you waited, every now and then there was a super-clean, perfect little barrel. It was great to see TB back in the water at his local reef break. You’d have never guessed he hadn’t surfer for six weeks… except for his froth to surf (laughs).”
