“We had a fun run of waves here over in New Jersey this weekend with a bit of north wind that was great for airs,” says photog Ryan Struck. “It also happened to be one of the warmest weekends of the spring so far, so a lot of people were out and about down at the Jersey Shore.” Jersey Shore you may now from the hideous reality show of same title. But the place ain’t all that. There’s also a clique of surfers around like Ryan and his pals, who don’t favour tanning salons and fistfuls of hair wax.

“I met up with PJ Raia for a few photos and used some of the beach goers as foreground,” continues Ryan. “This photo couldn’t have come out any better, with PJ to the left and the hot chick on all fours to the right. It was funny, ’cause we’d all seen her as she’d get up every so often, walk down to the water have a look around and then head back for a bronzing session. I knew the boys’d be stoked if she was in the foreground on one of the photos, I just didn’t think it’d end up quite like this.”
