Michel Bourez, exit through the gift shop, Rio De Janerio
Day two of the Billabong Pro, Rio De Janeiro saw the womens side of the event make it to the end of round three. The waves, according to the webcast, were rather small and punchy. Down the beach however, it was a different story. Still punchy, but not so small. “While the ladies were running in junk surf the boys were down the beach getting tubes as thick as they were tall,” says photographer Ryan Miller, who was in the mix. Trevor Moran had his lens pointed into this Michel Bourez cave, which affords us some feels of the tube width. That lip cleaving a permanent part in one’s hair isn’t crazy enticing, but everything else about this is.
