Luke Davis loves Santa Cruz. So much so, that even after he lost in the O’Neill Cold Water Classic, Steamer Lane, he stuck around to hang out and free surf. “He lost in the comp but was still up hitting the dawn patrol before the comp started in the morning,” says photog James ‘Jimmicane’ Wilson. “Most people have been leaving as soon as they lose, but he stuck around. Why wouldn’t he? Everyone loves being up in Santa Cruz. When we picked Brother (Kolohe Andino), Evan (Geiselman) and Luke from the airport, they were already talking about how they’d be bummed when they have to leave the place.”
