Kolohe Andino, gripping and driving in Itauna, Brazil

Today in Saquarema, the quarterfinalists at the Quiksilver Prime were decided. Kolohe Andino, pictured here, is one of them. In the round of 16, Kolohe beat Jean Da Silva after scooping a 7.17 and, on his last wave, a 9.57 exclamation point. His 16.74 combined heat total was the highest of the day and boosted him into the next round, where he’ll face Alex Ribeiro. Rail-grip bottom-turns sure can look timeless, huh?
