Kolohe Andino, cutting the throat of small(ish) Backdoor, Hawaii

“Brother was the standout at smallish backdoor yesterday morning,” says photographer Ryan Miller, who’s been hovering all over the North Shore finding moments like this. During this session, Mick Fanning, Carissa Moore, Adriano De Souza and plenty of others were lighting up smallish Backdoor, and while it was certainly no Black Friday, Kolohe was really on and getting it done. “There was plenty of above the lip turns but even more impressive were these turns showing why he will be a mainstay in the tour for years to come,” continues Ryan. “This is the kind of shit that wins heats.”
