Kerby Brown at a local reef, WA
Living in Western Australia sure has its benefits for guys like Kerby Brown (pictured here). The little reef Kerby’s flying over is just down the road from his home, and it rarely sees a big crowd. When Kerby, along with bro Cortney and good pal Ry Craike turned up on this afternoon, the rain clouds were starting to gather. That in itself is rare for the area in which they live, but the possibility of the clouds making for good backdrop was a real long-shot. This photograph, taken at 4.30pm, was during one of Kerbs’ turns in the lineup, while his bro shot from the ski with 50mm lens. This was shortly before the rain bucketed down and put an end to the session. What a moment.
