Jordy Smith and John John Florence, Maldives

As you’ve no doubt heard, Jordy Smith and John John Florence have taken a lil’ trip to the bath-like water and palm trees of the Maldives. Also on the trip is Jordy’s new gal, Lyndall Jarvis, as well as filmer/photog Blake Kueny and photog Craig Kolesky.
Both Jordy and John John have been going crazy in the water. Jordy’s especially psyched. Having surfed small, onshore closeouts in Rio and not much better in South Africa, he was especially amped for some decent waves and spent seven hours in the soup on his first day. Lyndall wasn’t overly impressed, but by all accounts she’s a real good sport.
John John’s been going equally loony. The pair haven’t been shy of throwing down flips and there’s been numerous rodeos stomped. The left-hander, Pasta Point, has some ridiculously good sections for this kinda thang and both guys have been taking advantage.
Here y’can see them frothing out on some surf footage. Two salt-crusted, sun-stroked, jelly-armed, extremely talented men, watching even more surfing. That’s love. (Of the sport).
