Jamie O’Brien and a continued love of sand tubs, Hawaii

The North Shore hasn’t been itself, conditions-wise, for the last few days. Recently, while there was a crowd on Pipe, Jamie O’Brien decided to go find some dredging shorebreak tubs (with less crowd). “So, there were some solid, big ones coming through, but Jamie found a thick one that ran a tad longer than the rest,” says photog Dom Mosqueira of the wave pictured. “There was no bottom to most of these – it was just a few inches of water before the sand. Jamie and the boys were going for it!”
