Now for a little look back at the Quiksilver Pro, NY. What a contest, huh? Wavepark waves, electrified crowd, dynamic vibe, etc. There were some hi-fi showdowns. And some weird rivalries. Kelly Slater, overall second place-getter, ain’t a fan of Jadson Andre. Like any impressionable new-jack, Jadson looks up to Kelly. Shit, who on tour (from what we can gather) doesn’t look up to him? But Kelly doesn’t share a mutual respect with the young Brazilian. “It was a pretty tense moment,” said a bystander of this moment, straight after their round four heat. “I know Jadson worships Kelly, but for some reason Kelly doesn’t like the kid. Jadson went over to him to say well done and Kelly just gave him this look and walked off. It was pretty rude.”
