“A perfect nightmare when all you want to do is catch a few fun waves,” says the man who captured this Dane Reynolds fin kick, being Trevor Moran. “Dane’s been putting in the time on tiny, onshore mush with no signs of being disheartened. Finally this morning as the jetskis were clearing the lineup for the first heat of the Roxy Pro, it seemed like the stars aligned and a few decent-sized sets popped up. With no one on the shoulder, and the beach announcers and crowd focused on the girls walking down the sand for their heat, a solid righthand section to tee off on served up; to the delight of the people who got down to the beach early and kept their eyes on the horizon, Dane didn’t disappoint.”
Does he ever, really?
