Craig Anderson, Rocky Point Lefts, Hawaii
The stalefish has been the grab of 2010. Awkward at best, but stellar when well-stylised. Craig Anderson, pictured here, certainly knows the value of a polished stale. Craig surfs with such nonchalance, you’d think he were lazy if it weren’t for the aerial game. He’s also about as humble a surfer as you’ll likely meet. During this session, Craig was surfing with fellow Australian goofy-footer Chippa Wilson, who Craig says makes him wanna surf better: “Watching him puts me in a different state of mind and makes me want to surf a bit more tricky.” Chippa-inspiration or no, Craig’s certainly doing something right.
