This a photographic display of a manoeuvre performed by Cooper Chapman, during a freesurfing session yesterday at Bondi Beach, Australia. You’ll notice four other people in the frame. Thus is the magnetism of Bondi – tourists, learners, the general public of Sydney bathing on their day off. Add an aerial surfing contest like the Boost Mobile SurfSho to that mixture and the result is an extremely busy stretch of sand. Cooper here, with board art repping he and buddy Beau Forster’s blog, C.A.B.B, did his best to cleave through the crowd outside of the competition area to place his fins above many miniature lips like this. Oh, and this photo, like yesterday’s, was shot by a 14-year-old named Alex Johnstone. A young surfer captured by a young photographer, and a sun-drenched moment of flare.
