Cheyne Magnusson, Honolua Bay, Hawaii

“I had the best surf day I’ve had in a long time,” said Cheyne Magnusson of yesterday on Maui. “Six hours at Honolua. Sunburnt, arms cramped, dehydrated and fuckin’ stoked!”

With the weather and waves looking a little unfriendly on Oahu (10 foot with gale-force trades!) Jordy Smith and Ryan Miller jumped a plane to Maui, where they hooked up with Cheyne: “Guy was losing his marbles, cause he’s been in Los Angeles for a few years now and hasn’t surfed Honolua in, like, five years. He was planing on surfing all afternoon til well past dark.” Dunno about you, but we think y’can kinda tell how much Cheyne was loving it out there, just by looking at this turn.
