The “Off-Season” At Nias Is Better Than You Think
Solid swell with less than ten people out.
The first swell of 2021 hit Nias on Feb. 20, and there were less than ten people out. Technically, this is considered the off-season for the area. Doesn’t seem too bad to me.
I imagine the locals live for this kind of day, the one with just enough swell to snag a few decent tubes. Nothing too big or too crazy, and no influx of professional surfers chasing purple blobs around the world.
While these Nias sets may not be massive boat-smashing bombs, there is still a strong chance it’s better than your local beachie.
