The Eddie Aikau Is On Yellow Alert
Huge swell heading to Hawaii, but is it big enough?
Yesterday, the official Eddie Aikau Invitational Instagram page posted a story declaring that the historic big wave event was on Yellow Alert.

Event officials are currently monitoring a sizable northwest swell that should peak on Friday of this week, sending waves in the 20-30 foot range to Waimea Bay, site of the Eddie.
To run the event, waves need to be consistently breaking in the 25-foot Hawaiian range. In the event’s 37-year history, it has only run nine times. The last time was in 2016, as won by John Florence.
There’s an updated call in a few hours.
