“It’s Honestly Been Exhausting, Every Swell Has Been Good”
Surfline’s VP of forecasting explains the East Coast’s exceptional 48-day run of waves.
We’ve run three Full Frames in the past three weeks of brown water barrels in Vancouver Island and Hatteras Island x2. That’s weird. 48-days of non-stop swell is crazy by most regions’ standards, but particularly for the East Coast in autumn.
Here Surfline’s VP of forecasting Kurt Korte breaks down how all that happened — with a bunch of color commentary from those in attendance, plus some highlights and helpful graphics.

Now plz send some to Australia’s east coast – who’ve been absolutely shafted this season.
