‘Good surfing’ means different things to different people.

For some, it’s all about gliding with the wave and allowing the water’s natural flow to inform your movements (flow surfing).

For others, it’s about dominating the wave and bending it to your will (power surfing).

For others still, it’s about transcending the ocean itself and breaking free from its aquatic shackles (aerial surfing).

Mason Ho blends all three of these surfing styles seamlessly, much to the liking of a certain onlooker over Rory Pringle’s shoulder (who apparently likes airs, but hates that ‘acrobatic shit’). He comes on around 3:40.
