Surfing is a strange sport, hobby, activity, etc. With a steep learning curve and ever-expanding flock of participants, the level of talent varies drastically from one head in the lineup to the next. Because of this, the “average Joes” in the surf community are no longer that average. In fact, some can get barreled nearly as well as the pros. Sure they might slip and bog more often, but a professional-quality barrel isn’t impossible for a weekend warrior.
