Gold Coast Woman Risks Life to Save Beer Kegs During Storm
A matter of life and death.
Last week we reported about a king tide on the Gold Coast damaging the Currumbin Beach Surf Club. We were unaware, however, of the extremity of this catastrophe. Not one, but TWO kegs of beer were swept away from the surf club. All hope was lost as the kegs drifted into the ocean, saying their last goodbyes.
Without hesitation, one brave lady jumped in the water to retrieve the liquid treasure. This local hero fought against fierce ocean currents, floating debris, and a wall seafoam to ensure the precious inventory’s safety. Luckily for us, a bystander recorded a video, documenting the dramatic rescue mission.
Next time you say, “I’d die for a beer right now,” make sure you’re aware of what that might entail. This lady sure is.
