Dave Rastovich, Byron Bay And The Way It Should Be
Listen to Rasta, become a better person.
And now to add a little feel-good vibration to your day. Dave Rastovich is an enlightened waterman, a highly conscious, long standing resident fixture in the Byron Shire. He's a face from the peripherals of performance surfing, who's mysterious low-key life revolves around conservation and leading by example – in and out of the water.
Local brewers Stone and Wood have kicked off a series profiling key community figures and giving them an opportunity to let their voice be heard through story telling and an insight into their world. In this episode of The Way It Should Be we are taken into Rasta's home to hear his views on corporate responsibility and minimising impact on the environment around us, as well as gifting us with a few moments of his highly pleasing waveriding approach. Rasta’s message is that by being conscious and treading lightly, we can move forward as individuals, as conscious businesses and as communities.
If you’re just here for Rasta surfing then slide on through to 2:30, otherwise do yourself a favour, listen and learn.
