Warren Smith is a pro surfer with a story. From Floridan skater and skimboarder, to homeless man, to skate-punt innovator and weary traveller, should you get the pleasure of spending a night listening to this man’s tales it won’t be a night wasted. With some luck he’ll even treat you to a night on his ipod. His music tastes are similarly eclectic though they lean toward his alt. rock, folk and punk roots. In many ways Waz epitomises mod-surf counter-culture, which also means there’s a chance some of this might not tickle those with a more pop sensibility. But don’t be scared. Jump in, y’might enjoy the grime and stench of red wine breath on your skin.
