After missing the Brazil event through injury, Kelly Slater today reasserted his World Tour dominance in the Volcom Pro, Fiji beating rookie challenger, Gabriel Medina in the final. The young Brazilian never really stood a chance. “That’s probably the best I could surf out here,” Kelly said after the win. “The barrel and the turn sections just lined up for me and I was able to do what I did. That was a perfect canvas for me.”

Despite having missed an event, Kelly is now second in the title race and rolling down hill like an outta control coal train.
