Tony Hawk Fullskull Custom Push

Did you know that pro skater Tony Hawk (who recently handed John Florence $50k for winning the Kustom Airstrike) holds an annual Stand Up for Skateparks charity event? It’s all about raising cash to put skateparks in underprivileged neighbourhoods in the US, which is cool. For this year’s event, held in Beverly Hills, Tony auctioned off a surfboard. And we’re kinda fond of it.

The PUSH model, made by Beau Irvine’s Piety Surfboards, has an 80s skate deck-inspired outline and concave deck, is sprayed with Tony’s signature FullSkull Birdhouse deck graphic, and the keels are handshaped using pieces of the same signature skate deck. All done in Beau’s own garage in Jan Juc. The PUSH is a 5’3″ x 21″ x 2 5/8″ with fiberglass graphic inlay. It’s a sand finish deck, with gloss polish hull. One of a kind!

It’s the smell of new wax on a new board. The morning dew lightly dripping down the rails of this strange looking thing. Knowing you can feel it in your hands. Firm, hard, built for speed. Built for strength. So hard in your hands those rails they are. Go ahead feel the birdhouse. Know the birdhouse. Say “ugh”, and “oh yeah”. That is nice, that is a real nice device. Oh yes make some more, some more.

That looks dope!
Built on the Simmons idea huuh? @westie, google “hydroplane surfboards”. It was a pretty radical idea in the 50s i think, they surf heaps different to a performance shorty or fish. more about trimming with the wave a carving in the pocket/cutties. I’d love to stay in the loop on Pics/Footage of this being ridden tho.
