The Best Surf Trunks In The World

You might’ve seen the Poolside Love Affair taking over our site. It’s a contest, around for another week, where Stab readers vote on the best pair of one-off surf trunks created by the world’s biggest surf co’s.

The makers of the winning surf trunks winner will choose a teamrider of their choice and we’ll fly ‘em somewhere real special and shoot a cover.

The brief was simple. We wanted to drive the creation of the best surf trunks ever made. We didn’t care ’bout bike pants or how they stretched, we were after something that looked swell by the pool, on the deck of a boat in Indonesia or on the beach.

What are your thoughts? Which 60-sec clips did you like? Who’d you vote for?

Haven’t voted? Click here to dive in…

this is like innersection for boardie designers… how come hurley didn’t enter? insight? to me they all look too much the same. half of them have floral designs? and weird velcro? how bout something more conceptual, like, how would Comme des Garçons interpret the “trunk” ? or Jun Watanabe? let’s get weird!

Critical Slide are killing. They are the best new brand around and their designer is keeping things fresh

tie dye and label, big design effort. I tryed to guess which boardshort belonged to which brand. The only three i could easily identify as correct were Quiksilver, Billabong and RipCurl.

The feeling of these trunks when you cross your legs and squeeze the fabrics between your hairy thighs. Do you know this is sown together? Some are and some are not. But wow they feel so great on me. On you. We are all the same and these trunks are for everybody. If you have hair and if not it could still feel super.

23.

i voted for the quiksilver shorts, they came second, but they tell me they won’t be available to purchase!!! what a tease man!!
