Gallery: Byron Bay You Were Fantastic
We apologise for disturbing the peace!
The bathtub of beer and ice is empty. We’ve disposed of the broken glass, cigarette butts, and various evidence left behind from the thumping kick-on we hosted yesterday evening at our temporary Byron Bay abode. There must have been fifty people scattered around the backyard pool. The police paid us a visit at some point and apparently one of the Cub Sport cats caught the neighbours waving a go-pro over the fence. We’ll be lucky to be reunited with our bond.
Hours earlier we’d been at The Brewery, bumping about in the searing afternoon sun, jostling for refreshments and a slice of the beer garden’s limited shade. The Galaxy Girls opened with pretty faces and a mellow psych-flavoured sound, before Cub Sport and Middle Kids brought the feels. We grinned, we tapped tins, we perspired. It was a fantastic time. Slide through Life Without Andy’s moments above to relive.
Now we’re motoring up the freeway, bound for the Sunshine Coast and the last of our Summer Sessions free shows presented by Summer Bright Lager. The bands told us they’re planning on going out with a bang this afternoon, so we’ll push through our hangovers and keep pace best we can.
