Balaram Stack is the star of new mini-documentary which premiered last night in New York. Directed by Patrick Cummings and E.J. McLeavey-Fisher, two surfers shot a documentary about the Quiksilver Pro N.Y., the largest and most lucrative surfing event ever held on the East Coast. “It is an incredible film documenting Balaram and his entry into the Quiksilver Pro, but it also has a little larger message about the Long Beach community and the contest here,” said Tyler Breuer of the New York Surf Film Festival. “Bal is probably one of the first New York pro surfers to really make it big. It’s really exciting.”
