A Broody Clip Of A UK Surfer You’ve Never Heard Of, Seb Smart
We came for the cinematography.
Here’s a moody number from our friends across the pond, Wasted Talent, on Seb Smart. Reared on England’s southwestern coast, Seb’s a cruisy goofyfoot, well-liked all over Europe, and this clip finds him tripping through Spain and France, scoring fun surf while, according to Wasted Talent‘s Alex Obolensky, crashing on their couch for “what seemed like months.”
We’ll let Alex take it from here:
“We’ve known Seb for a few years now, road tripped through Northern Spain, explored abandoned mansions; we surfed in Cornwall in the dead of winter; and this summer, he turned up in Southern France and slept on our couch.
Seb’s a character. He’s incredibly honest. He doesn’t care what you think. He has an outlook on life that some refer to as ‘trippy.’ We don’t. It’s analytical, ironic and calculated. He’s an original, a product of his environment down in the far southwestern tip of the UK— a place that breeds characters. Brutally isolated winters. Heaving tourist summers. Iconic scenery and good waves. A place you’re proud to be from.”
