Reubyn Ash Shreds A Sharky Balinese Rivermouth

Out of sight, but always in mind.

That straight back, crooked knee, powerful hooked turn; does Reubyn Ash’s style not share shades similar to occasional Taylor Steele cast member, Mike Losness? Anyways, Reubyn, a diverse, UK-based freesurfer, has been popping up a little more of late. And his most recent edit, filmed whilst on a recent Balinese sojourn with family in tow, is another joy to watch. Hoping to remove himself from the crowds of Canggu and Uluwatu in search of empty waves, Mr Ash found himself at a surprisingly sharky locale. “On arrival we noticed how quiet the lineup was, which suited us down to the ground,” he says. “But there was always the thought of Mr Sharky on the back of our minds.” Filmed by brother Joss and sister Sunshine, the greyscale covers any film work issues. Nothing like switching out the dreary Cornwall winter with some Bali fun, and escaping with no bites.
