The North Shore’s Eli Olson, drives through heavy tunnels like he’s in the safety of his automobile. That’s what you get when you grow up with Pipeline grooming your surfing. This clip takes an in depth look into the life of one of the North Shore’s forgotten sons. The cat’s been on a tear the past few years, and has a lengthy resumé behind the blue curtain to prove it. “I try to be friends with everyone,” says Eli, “but at the same time, I want my waves.”

“When I went to the North Shore this year I wanted to do something cool with Eli,” filmmaker Nick Green tells Stab. “So I thought, why not make something a little more personal? Eli is one of the best guys I know and one of the most respected people on the North Shore. This was a really fun piece to build because Eli’s so easy to work with and he’s hard worker. Whether he’s teaching jiu jitsu, framing a house, boxing or surfing he always gives it 100 percent. Eli would kill for his friends or family and it really shows. He’s just the fucking man”
