Clay Marzo In Western Australia Is Required Viewing
Your next eight minutes.
Clay Marzo is nearly peerless in his barrel riding mastery. He has an uncanny ability to maximise the time he spends beneath blue curtains. The man reads waves and sets different lines than any other surfer and avoids crowds at all costs. Seeing Clay in a lineup of more than four people is a rarity, although such uncommonness presents itself in this clip (4:05). Here’s eight and a half steaming minutes of Mr Marzo. It encompasses all that we love of Clay: sliced tunnels over shallow reef, patented lay-backs and refusal to sport neoprene in water temps that require it. West Oz is Clay’s second home and a glowing relationship persists between him and the waves on offer.
