A Barbadian Babe Ripping Indo
Barbados’ Chelsea Tuach enjoys a little Indo break from Singlet Life
With how ungodly talented the current generation of ‘CT women are, we’re always eager to see what future female leads are climbing the ranks.
Lean, lanky, and not 100lbs dripping wet, Barbados regularfoot Chelsea Tuach chip, chip, chipped away at the QS the last couple years, qualifying for the 2016 tour only to fall off after a string of disappointing results that don’t reflect her raw, natural ability.
As young Chelsea approaches her 22nd birthday, with plenty of time in front of her to refocus and have a second go at The Tour, she took advantage of the downtime to head to Indo and get some perspective.
“I wanted to step away from the competitive lifestyle, to find a place with great waves, where I could let go of any thoughts about comps,” Chelsea says. “Just a chance to slow down, enjoy every aspect of a new place; the waves, food, culture and people. Something I forget to do when I’m on tour. And I wanted to document these trips to inspire others—it was my opportunity to create a female surf video that inspires young girls.”
