Rusty – The Single Life
Who would’ve thought that trimming down from three fins in the sled’s kicker to a singular rudder could have such an awesome effect on someone’s surfing? In Rusty’s new video, The Single Life, focused around the team going bonkers in Bali on single-fin sleds, Josh Kerr especially, seems forced into a more focused approach by the lack of the single fins’ manoeuvrability, less twitchy, but still with the tools to go very, very big. Not that Josh Kerr’s twitchy. The boards were all shaped by Rusty Preisendorfer and the sprays are incredibly awesome. The music’s cool, too – Les Rallizes Denudes’ tune, Night of the Assassins, is the original from which Dirty Beaches acquired his sample for A Hundred Highways (currently on high-rotation in the Stab office.)
