everyone wants to be able to experiment and raps to him cause he had the balls to steer clear of the norm and enjoy surfing despite all the hype.

His words were thoughtful and introspective…ultimate respect…has created an unfettered and expressive “post-TOUR” life-path as a surf exploring ambassador on his own terms…

This is merely hurley and CI ‘s way of capturing a specific market that may be on their way out of surfing (momentum generation) or slightly dissillusioned by it and giving them something which may spark their interest again and make sure they keep buying hurley jumpers and clearly not very functional, funny shaped surfboards. A promo ad basically.
They are using rob, his looks, image, vibe etc; and he is using them to fund his ‘lifestyle’. All he has to do is grow his hair and keep talking like he is soulful and stoned and pretend to ‘live the dream.’
Good luck to him – i know i’m jealous.

Rob style is timeless but his act is not. his image seems fake and for that it’s difficult to be a fan.
