Dang!! best video part in a wave pool ever!! this kid’s from UK?? wow, i should really reevaluate my surfing…. haha…. the camera angles were sick!! they should have let in a 1000 people to give the “beach” some life, looked way to sanitary and “cold” there… having some tourists laying around could of added some warmth… sick!!

Helloooo Olympic surfing. If they ever decided to bring surfing into the Olympics, this would be the way to do it. Everyone gets more-or-less the same wave and therefore you can score moves on degree of difficulty, style, execution, just as they do for diving. “Today, Mr Medina will attempt a [insert aerial manoeuvre here] with a degree of difficulty of 8.65 out of 10 with one extra point available for style and execution.” Stupid way to go surfing but it would allow an entertaining and comparable way to see aerials.

This is sick, I dunno why everyone is throwing shit at it. The great thing about this is that it actually plays towards the main strengths of a wavepool from a cinematography perspective – ie the fact that you can shoot from 360 degrees around the pool, and the predictability which allows for more set-up camera movements.

I agree with the person who said it needs some people in the foreground though, that would’ve really given it some life.
