Jamie O’Brien vs the Wedge
Posted 04 Sep 2012, by STABmagYesterday, you might’ve seen the Full Frame we ran of Jamie O’Brien surfing Newport Wedge, in California. So, here’s some footage from the session. While this may not be the best clip you’ve ever seen, it’s still a truly captivating wave, and we dig seeing Jamie in a steamer, surfing a big left that isn’t Pipe. And, dragging his kicker through it just as well as he does at home.
Haha. I actually made this edit and am by no means a pro. This is one of my first edits and just wanted to show some buddies the surf in an entertaining and stylistic way that i particularly like. Whether or not you think it should be on this site– thats your call– but i’m stoked it is and hope you enjoy it.

Mate i made the first comment and i’m not a fan of the hipster shit, but really what was the purpose of that clip? it was horrible, showed about 3 shitty waves and some people on shore.
Jamie is a douche but goes hard. I want to see some decent surfing and stuff when i come to a surf site, is that too much too ask for??????

some clips were a little off but i liked it, very entertaining. I was there and since nobody was making any waves, represented what truly happened. cant please all the people all the time…
the only problem with jamie is that he doesn’t like girls.. he is a good surfer though

how is this not decent surfing….at the wedge ppl rarely make waves and its all about the deep closeout barrels. so maybe no shots of the wedge/

I liked the clip. To be fair I was one of the guys body surfing. I even think I saw the top of my head. Closest I’ll ever get to be in Stab.
