How Jordy’s board got its groove back
Posted 25 Jun 2012, by STABmagRemember way back, 12 months ago, when we ran a cover that showed Jordy Smith flying over a Narrabeen shorepound with a three-pack of flares attached to his rudder? Keen readers will recall the art on the base of Jordy’s board – a Billy Bain piece. This is a timelapse of the creation process. It’s in Jordy’s apartment on the Gold Coast during the Quiksilver Pro and you’ll notice the South African pre-surf stretching next to Billy. This is really, kinda cool.
