Gurfers taking the world by storm.

But it appears we’re not the only ones spellbound by their balleretic displays, risque costumes and chipper demeanours. Last night Sal Fitz won Pedestrian’s Bachelorette of the Year competition for 2012. She was thrilled but was focussed, as always. “When I was a real youngster, I wanted to be a princess with a tiara, but the one that always topped that was wanting to be a champion sportswoman,” said Sal. “I’m chasing that world title. I’m close to that one. To get two in one year, that would be amazing.”
