Some questions that really need to be asked: 1) If the waves aren’t good enough to hold a comp, why are all these free surf vids cropping up, where the waves look 10x better than Brazil? Why have they not even looked at a backup site, when instagram pics of really good waves are sprouting daily? Why then, are they running only 2 or 3 heats a day when they do run? If the waves get good, its all a mute point, but if they are forced to finish in junk, then Rip Curl looks like shit. O’neill better have a good handle on the Coldwater, with the backup site San Francisco…1 hr+ away from Santa Cruz.

I really feel sorry about those with prejudice comments, I’m from Brasil and most of my favourite surfers are from Australia and USA like Craig and Dane and I don´t see any problem in that.
