Yadin Nicol, Saquarema, Brazil

West-Australian Yadin Nicol's been chasing a spot on the ASP World Tour for a few years now. After placing second at the Margaret River Drug Aware Pro earlier in the year and, more recently, equal third at the Coca-Cola/Oakley Pro, Saquarema, he's now sitting in 33rd place on the one-world ratings. One spot away from the dream tour.

The Prime event at Saquarema saw solid six to eight foot sets for the finals and, as y'can see here, Yades had a good-enough handle on the bombs to beat Brazilian Gabriel Medina in the quarters, but fell to Brazilian Raoni Monteiro in the semis. With some amazing clips in Kai Neville's new film, Lost Atlas, and a good chance of qualifying for the dream tour, this could be a big year for Yadin Nicol.
