Despite dire initial forecasting, the waves never quite turned off over the last couple of weeks at Coolangatta. When the push of peak tide starved the power at Snapper, the exposed south-facing beaches nearby held it down. Swell size fluctuated without ever becoming unrideable. The sun mostly shone, waters were balmy and lensman and swordsman rejoiced in their unexpected fortune. Pipes were blue and the wedges were… Wedgy. Photographer Peter Boskovic stuck around after the main event, planting himself in the firing line of Eric Geiselman and this friendly looking D’bah tunnel.
