Faces of the Billabong Pro, Rio

Rio was anything but bland. From the very beginning when ASP’s broadcast truck backed into a tree and knocked out the webcast for most of opening morning, to John’s full-rote in the final, Stab loved the colour of this contest! Here’s a little look behind the curtain, in the competitor’s area, on the beach, at the scenes of the Billabong Pro, Rio.

Wow, you guys are easily impressed…that was one of the most painful contests to watch & listen to in the history of contest webcasts. Is it me or are webcasts getting worse every year? Stoked JJ won, though.

Yeh, it really sucks that they dont have huge glitches, and you can actually tell what is going on now! How pathetic is it that webcasts actually work now

Because he IS one of the surf co.s. GT (Greg Tomlinson) is the co-founder/VP of Marketing for Von Zipper. And Billabong owns Von Zipper. It’s all part of the Bro Network. It doesn’t mean he’s not a total tool, which he is, but that’s why he gets on air.
