Stupid comparison. Freesurf is totally different. Lets not forget that if you’re in a competition with another guy, in one level or another, human natural competition factor always takes place.

Sure some claims are pathetic and destinate to the judges, but there is definitely some real emotion in others.

Claims are obvy used to spike the judges interest after a good to excellent ride, i.e. trying to move the judges scorecards higher with a little shotgun or Adriano seizure. I’m sure in that lineup during freesurf claims are flat out wack..except when you get a screamer ala alex gray’s bomb.

i really don’t know what’s wrong in claiming. it’s a shame to deny that. deny feelings. anything more that can’t be done in surfing? cuz this comments are all about what you can’t do. weird people are boring.

Most ever claims this contest so far. Although all first day were warranted, Cloudbreak was heavy on day one. Seems the boys are trying to encourage themselves. I’ve surfed Cloudbreak, amazing to think of 20 ft Cloudbreak. Best times ever, like Teahuppu last year. Julian Wilson I think.
