Dane Reynolds wins a surf contest
Posted 21 Aug 2012, by STABmagDane Reynolds just won a surf contest. Considering his impact on the surfing world, that’s a statement you hear far too rarely. But it happened! And it happened in Ventura, at Ventura County’s Naval Base, at it’s marquee surf spot, Point Mugu. With his usual arsenal of airs, turns, etc that we all know and love but are never ready for. Left is a photo of Dane and his gal, Courtney, with the trophy (taken by filmer Mini Blanchard).
Dane figured out how to win, surf against no-name gimps! Nice knobby trophy bro. She’s going to want to get a better grip on that thing though…

He also won the rincon classic against bobby martinez and tom curren earlier in the year. But he was surfing just for fun. He said it was the first contest he won in about 10years. Curren was riding a tomo surfboard in the contest and was ripping.

People are Idiots, thats sooooo rad that you got to surf against the best surfer on the planet. Wish I was good enough to be a gimp in that contest
By the picture you can see:
1) Dane’s girl got the trophy activated.
2) Dane is now pretty excited to sit on top it and scream SAGEEEEEE
