John Florence, Gabs Medina, Miguel Pupo, Kolohe Andino and Yadin Nicol – welcome to Tahiti. Out of the rookies on tour this year, it shouldn’t surprise that most have never been there, and that John knows Chopes intimately (as he’s been going there since he was 10). Unfortunately the swell outlook ain’t so hot, so realistically it could be anyone’s. But, we shall see.

Lucky for some the surf forecast is looking small for chop standards at the moment it’s a shame because after cloudy I was looking forward to seeing who would go when it got big.
