Yep a little redemption after cloudbreak would be great. Be nice to see medina and a few others take on some 10ft death kegs.Who knows they probably will take off but it would be nice to find out.

Although a valid injury, its convenient that Chloe is unable to prove himself, especially after zipping away before the big swell at Tavarua. Hope the swell pumps, and men will be separated from the boys that love Huntington chop hops so much. Anyone up for powdered doughnuts?

He IS really hurt, but unless Dino took him home and spanked the shit out of him after he punched his board in half In Fiji, he should never have missed that swell. I should clarify that I’m not sure I would have paddled out either, but as Chloe is the next Golden Child according to the hype machine that is SoCal surf media, he should be at least present. If he gets the injury wildcard next year, and not Jadsen or Dusty, then this is truly a rigged game.

Kolohe Andino is really good, and you guys cannot even imagine to surf the way he is surfing, just have a look at how he was surfing in Ballito last year, in huge barrels, and there are plenty of vids everywhere of Andino surfing great, not only in small waves.
You guys would like kids of 18 years old to surf like Slater or any othere experienced guys. The only one able to do so is JJF, just because he was born and raised in the best waves of the world. Give Andino a chance, he qualified last year because he won 4 or 5 events quite in a row, something Dane Reynolds, for instance, cannot even imagine. This is competitive surfing, and if you prefer big wave surfing or freesurf, just don’t watch and criticize those doing the tour.
Andino, Medina and JJF are still the guys intersting to watch in omps, with Simpson and Wilson, but you know what? Next year, with guys like Glenn Hall, you’ll like it! Guys knowing how to do big turns in huge waves…It’s gonna be really fantastic…
And he will drop off tour cause he’s not ready. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t surf great. In California, Kolohe gets way too much hype, in fact more than JJ, and that’s why he gets criticism. Don’t blame Kolohe, but the ridiculous SoCal media machine, that squirts all over themselves trying to crown the next great thing from down the street. The promotion is nothing new, but the ones they choose never live up to the expectations heaped on them by glossing them too soon. kolohe just doesn’t charge. Period.
Right! The kid is not telling me he is the best, and since I’m not in Cali, I can’t see no hype about him. He won contests and qualified, like so many guys before him. Remember Tanner G? Josh Kerr came and went before getting good results, and there are so many of them…
We’ll see what could happen with Andino, but the kid deserves his seat, at least for this year.
