Bending Colours, the trailer
You may’ve heard some rumblings. Now, Bending Colours, a new film from Kai Neville starring Jordy Smith, has a face, a vibe, a trailer. Proposed as a “moving portrait of Jordy, not a biopic,” BC will premiere on November 5. The cameos (Jules Wilson, Tom Curren), epic soundtrack and incredible camera angles of the trailer should be enough to keep your juices flowing ’til then.
Funny how all the comments on the actual youtube vid are positive and then you see the ones on STAB and they’re all bitchy nit pickings… It’s got Jordy, Julian and Tom Curren, in good locations with one of the best surf filmers/editors around – what is there to complain about?!

“So red bullish” classic comment. Filming and editing does look dated and old and pretentious. Jordy does huge sick airs but has a low make rate. Worse yet he has misplaced his mojo. Just another classic case of hot pussy ending a contenders dreams. Small prediction: He will win at sunset again when he loses all his hair and end up being south Afrikas voice of Viagra at forty.
Just watched kais new film at Kirra surf shop. Its all the same surfing over and over again. Watching air reverses from crew who have the move wired is like, fucking boring.
Best thing about the whole film was the free beers.
