Alternate visions of the US Open

It’s rare to see such an intimate perspective of the US Open of Surfing. With all the distractions (crowds, music, skating and, more importantly, augmented breasts), it’s easy to lose focus on the riding of waves. Brian Elliott strips all that junk away, boiling the contest down to its bare bones. Don’t the pier at Huntington provide the best vantage point ever? The Aloe Blacc tune’s just swell, too.
